I started Oui, Chef a few years back as a means to chronicle my efforts to teach my kids a few things about cooking, and how their food choices over time effect not only their own health, but that of our local food communities and our planet at large. Now that all but one of them have left the roost, the time I spend here is less dedicated to cooking lessons per se, as it is to simply passing along great recipes from our family table to yours.
By day I’m a Test Cook at Cook’s Illustrated Magazine and America’s Test Kitchen, where I spend my time developing and perfecting meals for our millions of fans. Some of what I share here is straight from the test kitchen, while other things are from further afield. Regardless of where it comes from, I can promise that all the food I share with you on Oui, Chef is something I’ve cooked for my family and is kid-tested and wife-approved.
So….welcome to Oui, Chef, I hope you enjoy your time here and find yourself coming back as a regular reader and an active member of our little food community.
